28th December 2007, The Aseema trust facilitated the production of a dance drama on Thiruvachagam with theatre, bharathanatyam and folk forms for the inauguration of the new theatre at Golden Gate School in Salem. It was directed by our long time resource in theatre, Pralayan assisted by Madhusudhanan for Bharathanatyam and Sundaramoorthy for folk movements. High appreciation for the new approach and enjoyment of the students came from the school.

25th December 2007, Kalakshetra and The Aseema trust jointly hosting a children's mela called Gigillippu (means rattle) for children from 10 am - 5pm.

30th November, Story Telling Session at Vidyodaya School by V.R.Devika

7th October 2007, The Aseema Trust Sponsored two performance "Sangeetha Paithiyam" by Theatre Lab and Shadow Puppet " Ramayana" by Selvaraj Group in the IVth Year Memorial Festival of Kalaimamani Kannappa Thambiran Theatre Festival at Purisai Village.

2nd October 2007, Gandhi Jayanthi celebrations with Avvai Home children at Kalashetra in association with Sarvodaya International and V.R.Devika Charkha spinning session at Fab India

14th September 2007, V.R.Devika was the Chief Guest for the Annual Day Celebration
of Sri Sankara Senior Secondary School at The Music Academy.

7th and 8th September 2007, V.R.Devika and Chandra, theatre Personality conducted training workshop on ways to integrate music, dance and drama into teaching and make the lessons more interesting and more enjoyable for the Teachers and students of CARE School at Kuchinerla, Andhra Pradesh.

24th August 2007, The Aseema Trust organised a Quiz Competition on Dr.Muthulakshmi Reddi celebrating Madras Day/week at Avvai Home School

12th August 2007, The Aseema trust in association with Kalakshetra and Gandhi Study centre presented the screening of the film "Mahatma Gandhi - 20th century prophet" 81 minutes, English narration at Kalakshetra.

7th - 9th August 2007, Ms.V.R.Devika was the Key Note Speaker and chaired a session on Theatre in Life and Development organised by the School of peroming arts, Madurai Kamaraj University.

30th July 2007 - Founder's Day celebration at Avvai Home. Bharathanatyam, Oyilattam, Creative movements dance were performed by girls who are part of The Aseema Trust's South India Girls Intitiative Project.

23th - 25th July 2007, Ms.V.R.Devika delegate at the World Creativity Summit at Hongkong.

17th July 2007 - Certificate Distribution by Thiru Vikku Vinayakram, the celebrated Ghatam maestroe to Tiruporur Government School Students who participated in the Konnakole recitation project of The Aseema Trust done in partnership with Dakshinachitra heritage centre.

10th July 2007, V.R.Devika Chief Guest at Sri Sankara School for the Folk Performance from Andhra Pradesh "Karagalu"

29th June 2007 - Avvai Home girls of class 11 who were trained in a gender based skit based on their own true stories performed at the interschool Theatre festival of The School, KFI.

28th June 2007 - "Heritage and the aftermath of an earthquake", talk and slide show on "Bhuj" by Azhar Tyabji in outreach programmes at Asan memorial school and at Sri Sankara Senior Secondary School done in partnership with Prakriti Foundation.

23rd and 24th July - .V.R.Devika conducted a Quiz programme at Dharani School of performing arts Cochin and was also the chief guest at its 20th anniversary celebrations.
